A dedicated four-footed member of the Longview police department has died after years of declining health. "Ali" the German Shepherd Dog spent eight years with the Longview force. Officer Kirby DeLoach says Ali "was a good partner" and was always ready to work, the Houston Chronicle reports.

I just have to say that while I pray the dog that was stolen in NY is safe - AN ANIMAL OR CHILD SHOULD NEVER BE LEFT IN THE CAR UNATTENDED!!!
