Marc Anthony Added to Dog Bite Lawsuit

Jennifer Lopez and husband are being sued by a flight attendant over an alleged dog bite.

Posted: September 4, 2008, 5 a.m. EDT

Marc Anthony has been added to a lawsuit filed by a flight attendant who says Anthony and wife Jennifer Lopez’s German Shepherd Dog attacked her on a private jet bound for Los Angeles from New York, the New York Daily News reports.

Lopez had been the only person named in the federal personal-injury lawsuit filed by flight attendant Lisa Wilson. William Cafaro, who represents Wilson, says Anthony is being added after Lopez’s lawyer said Anthony is the owner of the dog named Floyd.

“I was told by her counsel that Marc Anthony was the registered owner of the dog,” Cafaro told the Daily News. “The issue of who actually owns the dog will be determined in the course of the proceedings.”

Wilson is seeking $5 million in damages for the July 3, 2006 incident. Court documents say Lopez warned Wilson, who works for NetJets Inc., how to behave around Floyd, who is a trained guard dog. An hour into the flight, Floyd lunged at Wilson, “attacking her and biting her pant leg,” according to the suit.

Cafaro says Wilson fell and seriously injured her back and has been unable to work.

While any dog attack is a serious matter, it seems this lady was told how to behave around the dog and perhaps disregarded the information she was given. In any case, $5 million seems an excessive amount to be suing for. I wonder if she would sue a regular person for this much.

A door opened and this lady is taken advantage of it. A guard dog is just that, it guards and protects it's owners and if you have any sense you should know this and not give it any reason to attack or bite you. Also, her mind had nothing but $ signs in it so what better way to take advantage of the situation but to blame it on Man's Best Friend. A German Shepard is not a small dog and I really think there would have been more damage if the dog had really done this. You have two wonderful musicians and actors/actresses so Ms. Wilson if you need a loan why don't you ask for it and stop with the BS.

She was told how to act and not. So she probably did something to provoke the dog. As bad as this may said, she may just be looking for a way to make some quick and long amount of cash.
