Police K9 Training Facility Operated by Sacramento Department Opens
A large new training center for police dogs officially opened Saturday at McClellan Airfield in North Highlands. Sacramento Police Department officials noted that the facility will have 15,000 square feet of training area, training obstacles, kennels, and shade structures for canines. The training center, funded through donations, will be used by law enforcement agencies from throughout the Sacramento area.

Tough New Rules for New South Wales Pet Shops
A three-day cooling off period for people who buy animals from pet shops came into effect Friday in New South Wales. It is part of a new animal welfare code of practice, which is backed by $200 on-the-spot fines for non-compliance. The chief executive of the Pet Industry Association of Australia, Joanne Sillince, says she is delighted the NSW Government has brought in consistent standards for all shops, ABC News Online (Australia) reports.

all the pit bulls that i know are very sweet! don't know how they can do that!

As a "RESPONSIBLE" Pitbull owner. Those dogs were OBVIOUSLY abused. mean and that is why they acted with such aggression. My two Pitbulls are big babies, however, my female is very animal aggressive and doesn't like children, but, she would NEVER run through a screen to attack a child. Pitbulls just don't act with such haste unless they were trained to do so. It makes me sick. It really does.
