Felicity Huffman Shares Spotlight – With Her Dog

A Los Angeles driver blows kisses to Huffman’s dog and gets a dressing down from the star.

Felicity Huffman is learning to share the spotlight – with her dog, Tucker.

The “Desperate Housewives” actress was driving in Los Angeles recently when “this guy pulls up next to me and says, ‘Hey’ and makes kissing noises,” Huffman told People during an event in New York City to kick off the Iams Home 4 the Holidays adoption campaign. “I ignored it. Then he said ‘Hey’ and made the kissing noises again. The third time he did it, I thought, ‘I’m tired of being bullied and I’m not going to be frightened’ – and I turned to him.”

Huffman unleashed a few choice words for the man. “‘What’s the matter with you? Are you sick? That’s disgusting and rude and I’m not taking it,’” she told him. “He looked all offended and his feelings were hurt, and I thought, ‘Great I have a sensitive heckler.’”

Then Huffman realized the man was talking to her dog – not her. “As I pull away feeling like a warrior, I felt a little cold nose on my neck,” Huffman says. “Tucker had his head right behind mine, which I didn’t know. The guy was talking to the dog, and that’s why his feelings were hurt. I’m a jerk.”

Huffman serves as the North American Ambassador for the Iams Home 4 the Holidays campaign.
