Miley Cyrus says she has a lot more in common with her cartoon costar Bolt than you’d think. In “Bolt,” a cartoon puppy is a TV action star who realizes he’s just a regular dog with no real-life superpowers when he’s off the Hollywood lot.
“I think it really shows a lot of kids when they see pictures of me in the press and the paparazzi where I’m not all glamorous and all done up,” Cyrus told MTV News. “You have to realize it’s kind of like Bolt — that’s what he has to learn to do.”
The “Hannah Montana” star says she has found a semblance of balance in her young life, despite the constant media scrutiny and rumors she endures on a daily basis.
“I feel like I have just enough [fun],” Cyrus says. “I get to do just enough to be happy, but I get enough to know I’m safe and know that I’m living a good life and being smart.”
And just like Bolt, Cyrus is learning how to turn off her adult, Hollywood persona. “He has to learn to turn it off, and I definitely feel like that,” she said. “There’s times when you need to turn it off.”
“Bolt” is in theaters now.
