Joe Biden Gets a Puppy

Vice President-elect picks out a German Shepherd Dog puppy from a breeder.

Looks like Vice President-elect Joe Biden has gotten his wish. On Dec. 13, he picked out a 3-month-old German Shepherd Dog from a suburban Philadelphia breeder.

Biden’s wife Jill had promised her husband a dog if he and President-elect Barack Obama won the White House.

Biden arrived at breeder Linda Brown’s home in Chester County with seven black Secret Service vehicles. He picked out the puppy, who will be trained over the next several weeks and delivered to the couple after the inauguration.

Mark Tobin, who coordinates the K9 division for police in New Castle, Del., will do the training.

Tobin had visited several dog breeders and told Biden that Brown had several nice dogs. The puppy Biden chose is “very even-tempered,” Brown told The Associated Press, and will make a nice family dog.

I think that it is great news, I can't wait to see what type of puppy obama gets to go to with his family to the white house
