Paris Hilton has gotten yet another dog – this one courtesy of new boyfriend Doug Reinhardt (formerly of “The Hills”).
Hilton told Ellen DeGeneres on her show that she and Reinhardt picked out a Pomeranian puppy during a recent visit to Japan.
“[Doug] bought me a puppy ... It’s the cutest dog I’ve ever seen in my life ... I love him,” Hilton said. “We were in Tokyo and we were in a pet store and we saw it and I fell in love.”
Hilton refused to comment on the puppy’s price tag, which was reportedly $10,000, according to an unnamed source in Life & Style magazine.
Hilton caused a stir last year when she told DeGeneres that she owns 17 dogs.
“They all sleep in my bed – well, not all of them, but I let some of them,” Hilton said at the time. Hilton added that the dogs “keep having babies, and I feel bad about giving them away.”
When DeGeneres asked Hilton why she didn’t get the dogs neutered, Hilton said that they all now were “fixed,” but later admitted, “well, two of them weren’t.”
The revelations prompted complaints to the Los Angeles Dept. of Animal Services, which issued Hilton a citation because residents may not keep more than three dogs on their property without a special permit.
