Online pet food store K9Cuisine.com and the WellPet Foundation are helping dog owners in financial crisis by making a 10,000-pound pet food donation to the Pooch Pantry in Mundelein, Ill.

The all-natural donated dog food goes to help families who are struggling to feed their animals, said Anthony Holloway, K9Cuisine.com owner. The goal is to feed as many dogs as possible by keeping the pet food bank stocked for months, he said.

The Pooch Pantry operates out of the B.C. Dog Training Club in Mundelein. Many of the pet owners who benefit from it are seniors on fixed incomes.

K9Cuisine.com and Wellness each donated 5,000 pounds of dog food.

Help? I am going through a divorce, homeless for all intents and purposes, and without a job. I have just received my dog (or rather he was thrown out of the house) and although I receive food stamps from the state, I need assistance in feeding him. I've not found a resource to help with dog food - if it's down to me or him eating, I will feed him. His name is Baron, he's a 4 year old beatiful lab and all I have left in the world. Can you help?
