Dog Stolen in Oak Park But Returns Home
An Oak Park, Ill., man's dog was stolen from him May 30, but the dog returned home a short time later, police said. The man was walking the dog at 12:45 a.m. in an alley when a man with a gun demanded that he hand over his dog, a pit bull-Beagle mix, police said, the Chicago Tribune reports.

Stolen Dog Returned to Owner
An English Bulldog reported missing by his owner was found less than a week later with the assistance of a pet-locating service. Dennise Helms, of Newark, N.J., first noticed her 7-month-old dog was missing the morning of May 29. The dog had been implanted with a microchip, and when Helms contacted to activate the chip, she was sent more than 300 posters advertising the missing dog, the Newark Advocate reports.
