Breeder of First Dog Bo Dies
The owner of a Texas kennel where first dog Bo was bred has died. Martha B. Watson Stern, 72, died July 21 at a hospital in Charlottesville., Va., where she and her husband, Art, had a summer home, The Associated Press reports.

Dog Home With Family 10 Months After Ike
A 4-year-old dog long gone in the aftermath of Hurricane Ike is back with her family in Clear Lake, Texas. September's storm blew down a fence at the home of Joe and Kathy Bauer. They took Daizy and her canine companion, Hank, to a kennel until they could fix the fence. Both dogs got out, The Associated Press reports.
