One in Five Prefers Pet to Partner This Valentine’s Day
Rather than spending Valentine's Day with their partner, one-fifth of adults would prefer to be with their pet, according to a joint global poll by Reuters/Ipsos. The survey of 24,000 people in 23 countries found 21 percent of adults would rather spend Feb. 14 with their pet than their spouse, Reuters reports.

Dog Credited With Saving Three From House Fire
A dog is being credited with saving the lives of three people inside a burning Lake Worth, Fla., home. The fire started shortly before midnight on Feb. 8. According to the Red Cross, that's when Bubba – a 7-year-old Golden Retriever – alerted the residents to the flames, WPBF.com (West Palm Best, Fla.) reports.
