Kellan Lutz Won’t Fly With His Dogs

The paparazzi like to photograph Kellan Lutz running with his dog and even picking up dog poop. But there’s one place the shutterbugs will never catch the “Twilight” star with his dog: the airport.

“I couldn’t put [rescue dog] Kola underneath a plane. I would feel bad for that,” he recently told reporters at a “Twilight” fan convention in Los Angeles. “Stuff could happen.” If something went wrong, Lutz says, he “would kill someone. I don’t know what I would do.”

Lutz is very attached to Kola and his newest pooch, Kevin, both of whom regularly appear alongside the actor in gossip magazines and websites. “I live in an area where it’s very easy to know when I leave my place,” he explains, “so [the paparazzi] hide out and follow [me].”

Given the popularity of the “Twilight” franchise, Lutz understands why the paparazzi follow his every move. But “when they take pictures of [me] at the dog park picking up dog poop every single day, it’s like, come on,” he laughs. “But I’m starting to learn that if I wear the same clothes, though, they can’t sell the pictures, because it looks like it’s from the same day. That’ll teach them!”
