Animal-loving actress Betty White lends her voice to The Hub’s “Pound Puppies.” In an episode called “My Fair Rebound,” White plays Agatha McLeash, a dog lover who enters her dog Rebound in a dog show to prove to her friend that her mutt is top dog.
It’s no surprise that White took a special guest spot on the popular children’s series. The actress, who has starred in numerous films and TV shows like “The Proposal” and “The Golden Girls,” is a longtime animal activist who told a reporter that she only works past her 80th birthday in order to pay for her animal charity work.
“Pound Puppies,” based on the popular 1980’s plush toy collectibles sold by Tonka and a big-screen flick of the same name, features a pack of celebrity guest voices this season in addition to White’s. Eric McCormack plays an alpha-male pooch called Lucky, Michael Rappaport a genius inventor
Dachshund named Strudel, and Yvette Nicole Brown a tough-talking
Boxer named Cookie.
