Must See Movies For HOWL-oween.

Great Halloween movies that your whole family can enjoy, including the dog!

Grab some popcorn (and some Scooby snacks) and settle in with these great Halloween movies that your whole family can enjoy, including the dog!

1. It’s The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown
A cartoon classic, no Halloween is complete without. Watch Snoopy (dressed for Halloween as the Red Baron of course!) cause mischief at a Halloween party while Linus waits for the Great Pumpkin to appear (1966, NR).

2. Scooby-Doo
This live action spin-off from the original Scooby Doo television series is perfect for Halloween night! Help Scooby-Doo solve the mystery and get Mystery Inc. back together. The Sequel, Scooby-Doo 2 – Monsters Unleashed is also a great Halloween movie (2002, G).

3. Frankenweenie
Nothing says Halloween more than a dog brought back to life like Frankenstein’s monster. Tim Burton’s classic dark comedy short film is being remade by the man himself into a stop motion animated movie being released in 2012. Why not watch the original first? It can be found on The Nightmare Before Christmas DVD, or here (1984, PG).

4. Spooky Buddies
This new film in the Disney "Buddies" series was released last month just in time for Halloween. Watch as the six pups sniff out a spooky mansion, face their own fears, outfox an evil warlock, and save the world (2011, G). Meet the Buddies>>

5. The Nightmare Before Christmas
No Halloween movie night is complete without this Tim Burton classic. A ghost dog named Zero, along with his owner Jack Skellington, king of Halloweentown, learn about Christmas in a peculiar way (1993, PG).

Have a Happy HOWL-oween!

It's tradition at our house that after the trick or treaters have all gone home that we bust out a Halloween movie to celebrate the occasion (with the leftover candy of course lol)
