AKC/Eukanuba National Championship

Events will take place this weekend, December 16-18, 2011 in Orlando, Florida and will celebrate milestones in AKC’s canine sports.

Thousands of dogs from across the country will descend on Orlando, Florida to participate in the AKC/Eukanuba National Championship.

In addition to the main conformation competition, the event will also feature the AKC National Obedience Invitational and the AKC Agility Invitational, both of which will celebrate major milestones.

Agility, AKC’s fastest-growing canine sport, is on track to hit one million entries in 2011, while the sport of Obedience will celebrate its 75th anniversary.

“We’re pleased to celebrate these milestones at the AKC National Obedience Invitational and AKC Agility Invitational,” says Curt Curtis, Assistant Vice President of Companion Events. “Our thanks go out to the fanciers for all of their support for these two events over the years!”
Another milestone reached is for the first time ever, the agility and obedience invitational’s will also welcome Mixed Breed dogs enrolled in the AKC Canine Partners program and will offer special competitions for juniors.
