An animal shelter in California recently took in a new dog after he was found on a rural road. Toby is cute and cuddly Border Collie mix. He also has two noses. A probable condition since birth, having two noses does not seem to affect 2-year-old Toby negatively. He’s described as a lovable and playful.

Paula Mendoza, an employee at the animal control facility in Tulare County told ABC News that she’d never seen anything like it. "This is a first,” she said. "He’s unique.”

It is unknown at this time if Toby is someone’s lost pet or if he’s a stray. However, if he isn’t claimed within a few days he’ll be available for adoption.

It looks like his nose and part of the lip is split, but still he is a beautiful dog and most Border Collies are loveable. Mine is!

I had a puppy that was born with two noses once. He didn't make it.
