AAA Seeks Dog Travel Photos for New Book

Dogs who travel with their owners have the opportunity to appear on the cover of a new travel book, as the American Automobile Association’s (AAA) annual pet travel publication is seeking pet photo submissions. The winning entries will appear on the cover and spine of its next edition.

The book, “Traveling With Your Pet: The AAA PetBook,” is set to be published in April 2008. The first place winner will receive the cover shot, a $250 AAA Visa gift card and five complementary copies of the book. The second-place photo will appear on the book’s spine, and the winning photographer will receive a $100 Visa gift card and two free copies of the book.

Images will be judged on photographic composition and the ability to convey the joy of traveling with a dog. Posed or studio photographs will not be accepted. Only one photo may be entered per household, and it must feature at least one pet and have a travel theme. The entrant must be the person who took the photograph as well as the person who has full rights to the snapshot.
