Uno, the first Beagle to win the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show, will make a special appearance at “Bark at the Capitol” at the California State Capitol Building in Sacramento on Wed., June 25.
The dog-centric annual festival features educational programs, contests, celebrities, and dog-related vendors and services. Attendees will get to see a variety of dog demonstrations, including dancing dogs, flyball, rally obedience, sheep herding, and military and police dogs.
The event raises money for Concerned Dog Owners of California, a nonprofit
association that’s dedicated to the protection and promotion of dogs, and VetDogs, a new program from the Guide Dog Foundation for the Blind that trains and supplies guide dogs to visually impaired veterans and those who have disabilities other than blindness.
Bark at the Capitol runs from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Wed., June 25 at Capitol Park in Sacramento. The cost is a donation of $5. For more information, visit http://www.barkatthecapitol.org
