Britney Spears Didn’t Ignore Dog’s Broken Leg

The SPCA says Britney Spears’s dog received proper treatment for a recent leg fracture.

The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals has decided that Britney Spears did nothing wrong in regards to her Yorkshire Terrier’s fractured leg.

Madeline Bernstein, the president of the Los Angeles chapter of the SPCA, told “Access Hollywood” that the puppy did indeed fracture his leg but that the incident occurred unintentionally when someone (no word on who) stepped on the dog's leg while walking into a closet at Spears’s Los Angeles home.

Bernstein says the SPCA had received several complaints about Spears after rumors began circulating that Spears’s dog had a broken leg. Some reports said the dog was in a cast, while others said the dog’s broken leg had been left untreated.

The matter was not whether the dog had an accident, Bernstein says, but whether the dog was getting proper care.

The SPCA sent a representative to Spears’s home, but the singer was away on a trip. Spears’s staff put the SPCA in touch with the dog’s veterinarian, who confirmed to officials that the dog had been treated for a leg fracture and properly outfitted with a cast, Bernstein says.

It's a wonder that she did take care of the dog! Or did someone else like a staff member. She sure can't take care of herself.

I am glad the dog was taken care of! But, enough is enough! Does she deserve a gold medal because she can take care of her dog like the rest of us would do??
