Brooklyn Industries, a Brooklyn, N.Y., company well-known for its graphic T-shirts, hoodies and iconic messenger bags, is holding an open casting call for all dog models interested in appearing on a special edition T-shirt.
Castings will be held this Saturday, June 16, 2007, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at its Williamsburg store at 162 Bedford Avenue in Brooklyn. Rain date is Sunday, June 17.
During the photo shoot by former fashion photographer Shaina Fishman, participants will receive free dog treats all day.
A second casting call on June 30 at its Smith Street store, at 100 Smith St. in Brooklyn, will also allow access to dog massages from Lon Black of Hope Veterinary Clinic. Rain date is Sunday, July 1.
Nine finalists will be chosen on July 6, and then Brooklyn Industries will turn it over to pet owners to decide which dog will take home the Top Dog honor. Visitors can view the contestant slideshow at www.brooklynindustries.com, and vote for their favorite.
In addition to the exclusive T-shirt design, the grand prize includes 6 pounds of ScooterFood, a $50 gift certificate to Hope Veterinary Clinic in Brooklyn, a $200 gift certificate to Brooklyn Industries, and more.
