Dog Breeding, Genetics Conference Scheduled
Dog breeders and dog enthusiasts are invited to attend the upcoming conference on canine breeding and genetics.

Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University will be holding a conference on canine breeding and genetics on Sept. 13-14 in Sturbridge, Mass.
The symposium, to be lead by Jerold Bell, DVM, director of the Clinical Veterinary Genetics course at the school, will feature animal geneticists, lectures, and open panel discussions.
The conference will focus the application of new tools from genome research, and will include a special focus on epilepsy.
Topics include pedigree analysis, genetic counseling and disease management, gene searching for the canine cardiomyopathies, disorders of sexual development, and seizure syndromes.
