Reward Offered for Information on Dogs Shot in New Orleans

Information needed for more than 30 dogs shot to death in New Orleans.

October 19, 2005
Animal welfare organization Pasados Safe Haven has offered a $25,000 reward for information regarding the death of more than 30 dogs found shot to death in four schools in New Orleans St. Bernard Parish.

According to the organization, the schools were a temporary shelter for evacuees. When the evacuees were moved from the schools, they were forced to leave their pets. The dogs were later found shot dead, some with their heads covered.

The reward is for information on the shooters. Individuals with information on the incident should call the organization at (360) 793-9393.

The group will turn the information over to local authorities, keeping the callers name confidential. If the tip leads to a conviction of the accused, the organization issues the reward to the caller.
