Dana Point Wag-A-Thon 2006
When: 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, March 11
What: Pet Project Foundation holds its 13th annual Wag-A-Thon fundraiser in beautiful Dana Point, Calif., joining the Festival of the Whales celebration. Families and pets are invited to join in the festivities by participating in the many pet contests available, including a costume contest. There will also be pet photos available. While at the Wag, enjoy the music of The Sounds of Paradise and watch the Disc Dogs of Southern California do their tricks. Not to be forgotten; snack at the food booth, shop the bazaar and visit the many vendor booths. Your attendance at this event not only will provide you great pleasure but will support the care and love of all the animals at the pro-humane San Clemente-Dana Point Animal shelter.
This Wag-A-Thon's celebrity dog is Lyco, star of "Because of Winn Dixie" and the celebrity guest is Courtney, of the ABC series "General Hospital", who is an animal lover and supporter.

Vivi & The Strays Fundraiser
When: 7 to 10 p.m., Saturday, March 11
What: Join concerned dog owners at the Posh Ultra Lounge for drinks and dancing to raise money for a special cause: the search to find Vivi, Champion Bohen Cest La Vie, the Westminster prize-winning Whippet who escaped her kennel at the JFK airport before boarding her flight home to California. Funds raised will also benefit Bobbi & The Strays animal shelter.
