The major mass-market retailer has added a line of classic polo shirts and hooded sweatshirts for dogs who weigh less than 15 pounds. The doggy polo shirts look just like their human-apparel counterparts, right down to the short sleeves and preppy ribbed collar. A snap closure secures the top of the shirt over the dogs chest. The sporty hooded sweatshirts are made from terry cotton and come with a classic Gap logo appliqud on the back.
To further the notion that owners and their dogs begin to look alike, the Gap has made all the doggie polo shirts and hoodies available in adult human sizes.
The polo shirts and hooded sweatshirts for dogs are available at Gap stores for $16.50. Human versions start at $24.50.
