Tentative Settlement Discussed in Tainted Pet Food Lawsuits
Mediation has produced a tentative settlement of lawsuits over tainted pet food, including that distributed by Canada's Menu Foods Inc. The settlement amount will be funded by the defendants, including Menu Foods, and its product-liability insurer. No specific amount was released Tuesday. Menu confirmed Tuesday that its estimated cost for the product recall is $56 million, The Wall Street Journal reports.
