Passenger Carrying Drugs in Tokyo as Dog Fails Sniff Test
An unsuspecting passenger who flew to Tokyo is carrying one million yen's worth of cannabis compliments of customs authorities after a sniffer dog failed a test. An officer at the airport stuffed 142 grams of the drug into the side pocket of a randomly selected black suitcase so that the animal could detect it, but after the animal failed the test, officials couldn’t identify which bag the drugs had been placed in, AFP reports.

Lax Dog Licensing Costs Los Angeles $2 Million
The Los Angeles Department of Animal Services is struggling because of not collecting on dog licenses – the largest source of revenue for the agency – resulting in $2 million in losses, city Controller Laura Chick said in an audit released Tuesday, the Los Angeles Times reports.
