“Desperate Housewives” star Eva Longoria’s upcoming wedding has already fueled countless rumors. For example, did the star, who will wed on-again-off-again fiancé, San Antonio Spurs basketball star Tony Parker, pick July 7 for the wedding because the superstitious couple considers the day lucky? And will Longoria’s reportedly feuding cast members actually assemble for an event not written into their contracts?
The latest report – or rumor, depending on your perspective – involves Longoria’s often-photographed Maltese, Jinxie. The National Enquirer reported this week that Longoria will have the dog trail her down the aisle and remain at the altar while the pair exchanges vows at a church outside of Paris. The publication quoted a source as saying, “Jinxie is getting a special jewel-encrusted designer collar made for the big day. It will be inscribed with the lucky wedding date - 7/7/07.”
Longoria, for her part, has contributed to rumors surrounding the couple’s big day. The actress told Cosmopolitan in the magazine’s April issue that country singer Kenny Chesney – Renée Zellweger’s ex – will perform at the wedding. The snag? “He just doesn’t know it yet,” Longoria says.
