So, how do you train your dog to walk alongside you and not pull and try to run??

there wasnt anything in this!! i tryed the simple "I'm the boss" thing you have them on their leash and everytime they pull you you stop and pull them back beside you and make them sit. it is annoying but my dog caught on pretty fast.

This is a great article, but I have a 6 month old English Mastiff! I have been working with her since she was a smaller puppy, but not as much as needed. I can't afford a trainer( and really don't want one) I'm going to switch halters and see if that may help. Thanks for the article

It's amazing how much energy one cock-a-poo can have, lol! Thankfully, I have a 15 year old son to help out with walking :)

My black lab flips belly-up when I put a leash on her. I've had her since she was 8 weeks old and she is now about 14 months old. She cries and yelps so loud that my neighbors think I am torturing her. She is a lab, yet I cannot take for a walk. Do you have any suggestions? We would really appreciate it. THANK YOU...
