I put my beloved Jazmine to sleep last Saturday after developing unirinary problems. I wonder if her dog food (I thought I was giving her the best) was the contributing factor. I put her through all different testing but the vet could not render a diagnosis. Now I see her brand of food on the list.

Can you please give all of some info on the dry dog food recall? I was feeding my dogs Nutro-Max and since the recall, I immediately stopped. Is there any dry food out there that's safe?

I am very concerned about what is safe to feed my 4 dogs. I feed them Pedigree choice cuts canned and they have gravy in them. What makes it any safer then ALPO.

My dog ate some of the bad dog food. As soon as I knew, I took her to the vet for a blood test. Thank goodness she's ok. Please anyone who has an animal who has eaten the food, take them to the vet. Once they show symptoms, its too late. There were 3 people in the vets office when I went and they all had pets who either died or were dying. They waited too long. I have one question........Why on earth are we buying wheat products from other countries when the heart of our country is known as "The Bread Basket of the world"? Also, thank you, "Dog Channel" for your upto the minute updates about this recall. It has been very helpful to many of us.

I"m very nervous about all this i have 2 siberian huskies and I"m hoping they dont get sick because the list keeps growing on the brands of food. I feel so bad for those who lost their animals. mine are like my kids.

My 12 year old black lab suddenly became sick 1/3/07 i took her to the vet,who thought it was an lung infection, medication was given she became worse i returned her to the vet the morning of 1/4/07 she was found to be in renal failure.Bun 126, creatine 5.6. She has never been sick. She ate alpo wet at night and Kimbles and bites dry during the day, she had eaten 4 pouches of special kitty i purchased for my cat, who would not touch it.The vet said the only thing that could make a totally healthy dog go into renal failure and die that quick was antifreeze.I had no idea where she could have gotten it. GUESS I DON'T HAVE TO WONDER ANYMORE.

When our fourteen-year-old Boston terrior mix became suddenly ill last week and started urinating blood, we had to have him put down. We had checked all of the brands of canned food on the list but he was eatting Alpo so we thought it was just because he was so old that he was sick. Now they're saying this brand was tainted also. Where will this end? Will human baby food be next?
