10 points...I acutally thought it would be better than that but see that there needs to be a slight improvement...Either way it's still good

5... I don't even think my town is people friendly! No sidewalks hardly anywhere. You'd think a college town with a veterinary school would be more pet friendly. *sigh*

We live near a large city, however, no place that I know of allows pets in a restaurant. I am going to investigate! Any Pittsburgher's out there have the answer for us?

I have a 7 which I think is ok for a town of 17 thousand I don't know of any place where I can eat and drink with my dog. We did get a dog park a few years ago, but I'm really not sure about bringing a small dog there.

In Ontario, there are no places that have food that allow pets - so you can`t have a drink or a meal with your dog :(.

In Ontario, it is illegal to have a rental no pets allowed clause unless it is in the condo
bi-laws.
There are very few off-leash parks and those that are there, are not suitable because not all dog owners are responsible and the dogs are not obedient

I'm in Gainesville, FL and it's pretty dog friendly - scores a 12 or 13! We have 5 municipal dog parks, going on 6, and 1 private park (per visit or membership fee). The regular parks also allow dogs on-leash. There's quite a few restaurants that allow dogs. Also, there's available hiking trails at some of the state or county areas with city limits, not to mention lots of open areas you can find on your own.

I live in a small rural town. Many of the dogs here are working farms dogs and that is were they stay on the farm. My town scored a 3 but if you are willing to travel there are other places that are more dog friendly. We do not even have a hotel never mind being dog friendly.
