If you have an artistic side and dont like to express yourself by painting, grooming may be your thing. I am always excited when something shaggy comes in the door and they say do what you want. You truely have to love animals and be a very patiet person.

Dee Erie, PA 9/18/2008 7:11:15 PM I have been grooming since I was 10yrs.old. I grew up in my moms shop. I have 35yrs of experience. I still love it. If you are thinking of becoming a proffesional groomer. It a very hard job, not all play time. You need to be able to read the dogs body language and know the differnt breeds. Learn as much as possible from experienced groomers not the books!Start at the bottom and learn each step. And you must know how to talk to people and know what they want. They have to trust you with their pet. Like their child.
