Sean Ottawa, ON 2/27/2009 7:49:12 AM Allegro. My friend owned a Portuguese Water Dog bearing that name, and it was completely appropriate. The dog was very high-energy and playful, even as it got older.
julie Alfred, ME 2/26/2009 2:41:06 PM Great Article I think an honorable name would be... TED. OR EDWARD T. OR TEDDY
Mary Guston, KY 2/26/2009 12:28:39 PM Suggested name for Obama Dog: 1st choice - Rocky - President Obama will have a rocky road with the Republicans. 2d choice - Blaze - President Obama is starting out in a blaze of glory!.
Heather Seymour, TN 2/26/2009 8:45:11 AM I think that they should name their dog Chance if its a male and if its a female Star or Americus.
Sheila Fairview, OK 2/26/2009 7:37:06 AM Sacuumbi pronounced Se cume <(long u) bee When pronounced right and drawn out in higher pitch most dogs will sing
Gary Parker, CO 2/26/2009 7:09:17 AM WE wanted to suggest "Maverick" as well for some personal reasons. We lost our Lab/ Pointer mix friend of 11 years this November. He was also a shelter dog. He was named after the "Top Gun" character, but his name took on new meaning this election year. It would be a neat way for the President to acknowledge all those Americans who wanted a "Maverick" in the White House"
Doreen Montreal, QC 2/26/2009 6:54:18 AM Ms. Misha or Mr. Misha. It's a combination of Michelle,Malia and Sasha
Dean Medford, OR 2/26/2009 2:00:25 AM If it's a male dog, I like the name Beauregard. It's French, and the girls can call him "Beau" or "Bo". It's a great name for a dog. Possibly not politically correct, but cool.
Ann Lafayette, LA 2/25/2009 6:40:34 PM For a Portuguese water dog, 'Marquez' for a boy or 'Catalina' for a girl.
Crista Boone, IA 2/10/2009 11:54:59 PM The president's pick of dog is going to influnce a lot of people, I think they should set a great example and adopt from a shelter. 'Hope' would be the perfect name.
Julia Chickasha, OK 1/30/2009 3:31:42 PM I think it should be a more elegant and allergy free dog. It should be a Irish wolf hound, from a rescue center near them. A perfect dog for the entire situation.
Gail Olathe, KS 1/22/2009 8:41:29 AM I like the name History, dog does not have to be black and white. History would be a good name because for the dream President Obama had, and he made history, being the first Black President.
