How do you introduce a skittish dog to a dog park? Taking him there when no one else is there did not work. He still drooled and was scared

It's a good article only if your dog is trained already. If he/she's not it can't help you.

Thanks for the
information.
I hope to be able to learn all I can, My dog really reacts differently
everywhere.
There are dogs and people he is ok with and others that he seems to charge at during our
walks.
Weird.

When our dog chases cars and fears motorcycles we used a clicker and some treats to get her attention on the clicker and not the fear objects. So far it has worked.

Jasmine has a BIG fear of "outa the norm" vehicles,{Snowplows,Garbage trucks...Ect} she barks, growls & lunges whenever 1 passes us, when we're out, I've tried everything {including, trying to get her to focus on ME & NOT the vehicle"} So far...Nothing has worked
!!

I have a severely scared dog at thunderstorms. We have kept her secure on a leash, kept calm near her and ignored her behavior. Slowly she has gotten better. Previous dogs were helped with medication. Her fear is nonexistent now that she is 15 and has lost a lot of her hearing.
