Harry Yakima, WA 1/6/2010 1:06:51 PM I have 4 dogs and I work but I make it a priorty each day I come home to go out and spent at least 1 hour playing and talking with my guys. Sometime my wife thinks I'm nuts like when it's zero degrees outside. They don't how cold it is so neither do I.
Charlotte Topeka, KS 1/6/2010 12:44:51 PM excellent article. I hope the Goldie down the street gets some attention. Maybe volunteer to take him/her for a walk around your neighborhood
Kari Evansville, IN 1/6/2010 12:42:15 PM I think this is a fantastic article. I have a two year old(potty trianing)little girl and both My husband and I work. I feel I am not spendng enough time with my dog. He sleeps in the bed with us and we try to have "toy time". I just feel he needs more attention.-
Sana Ottawa, ON 1/6/2010 12:28:49 PM I loved the article and have to add that spending time with my dog always leaves me in a great state of mind as well.
LisaB Camden, SC 1/6/2010 12:10:55 PM Good Suggestions in this article! I have six dogs and we have blast operating as a pack! Pack walks in the woods and swimming in the lake in the summer are how I keep these guys happy! In addition they have each other to keep them company. I always recommend having more that one dog so that they are not lonely!
Mary Montgomery, AL 1/6/2010 12:04:57 PM This is an excellent article! My dogs stay with me wherever I am when I am at home, and sleep in my room at night.
Joanna Compton, IL 1/6/2010 12:02:33 PM The suggestions are very good. We already do several of them. 9 times out of 10 when we go someplace, the dogs (3 Giant Schnauzers) go with us. In fact, my husbands Giant loves to ride in the semi when he hauls grain or gravel. All we need to do is to get our coats, and the dogs beat us to the door. All 3 dogs have their own bed in our bedroom, although sometime during the night 2 of them join us in bed. (There isn't too much room for 2 Giant Schnauzers and 2 adults in a bed.) We walk 2 times a day with them and are working with some agility equipment with them. Our dogs are a huge part of our lives.
Bryan San Ysidro, CA 1/6/2010 12:00:13 PM A very good article. I spend 24/7 with my dog but he's spoiled. Just being with me isn't enough!
AM Milwaukee, WI 1/6/2010 11:48:57 AM Great article thanks...I have learned to take my pup on short runs and errands with me. I thought that taking him along in the car was silly, but he just loves it... all I need to say.."wanna ride shotgun with mommy" ... and he runs to the back door.... all he does it look out of the window... go figure!
Anna Maple Grove, MN 8/30/2008 11:27:36 AM Helpful article! Dogs are social animals and need one on one time with you!
Cherie Monaca, PA 8/29/2008 7:33:07 PM Great ideas - glad to hear them and hope to put some of them to use.

Sue 3 Oaks, MI 8/29/2008 6:36:49 AM We all need to be reminded from time to time to spend that extra time with our dog!
Jane albequerque, NM 8/29/2008 5:52:45 AM That's a great article. I actually have extra time on my hands now, so I have plenty of time to spend with my dog but if I didn't then I will use this article.
Sandi Lake Milton, OH 8/29/2008 4:49:55 AM This is a great article. It is so easy to find ways to spend time with your pet. Even if its just a pat on the head or a hug. Just to let them know you care about them.
me City, GU 2/24/2008 3:42:19 PM I like this article, because it tells you what you wouldn't think to do.
