I have a sled dog team. Names are: Tundra, Kona, Ama'aq, Siku, Torque and Chinook. They all mean something whether in Inuit, English or Argentinian. Also a rugrat named Gizmo and two cats: Tigger and Spoof. I also have a pet care service and I have to agree that the most popular are Molly, Buddy, and Max. I have a few of each!! Interesting to see human names are so popular!

My dog's name is RedTop Share. RedTop is the fathers name, it goes back to the 1600. Share is the name we could think of, because Share is all the names, Grizzy, Pepper and Banjo we could share!!! The names are BEAUTIFUL! I don't know about the unusual names...they seen pretty trashy.

Interesting popular names indeed. I could have guessed Buddy and Max would be the first and second I've met so many dogs with those names. My pets names I'm glad to see didn't make the top ten in their species. My cats are Sassy and Mocha and my dogs are Rock It and Shadow.

Interesting article. We named our dogs "Miss Molly" and "Cousin Zeke". We like to be a bit different in naming pets.
