In the suburb where I live, I don't recall seeing restaurants where dogs are welcome, but many offer treats when you at the drive-thru window.

Dog owners in our county do not allow dogs at the beach. We have 71 miles of beach front and there is zero tolerance even with a leash. I know some people do it but they risk getting an $150.00 fine. There is a petition started so we can only hope that the powers that be can find one small area to allow dogs at the beach. We have to travel to the counties to the north or south of us. So SAD!

Almost all the restaurants in our Florida town have outside seating and dogs are welcome although they can not sit on a chair at the tables. Many people walk throughout the city and those of us that walk our dogs know all the passing dogs' names. We have many "festivals, etc." and almost all of them are open to dogs that accompany their "masters". It's a great place to live!

My town has a fair number of dogs. There's not a whole big bunch, but there is still a lot of them. There are lots of restaurants and parks around. There are a fair amount of hotels that allow dogs. it is a perfect place for a dog.

My town has no dog park nor resturants where you can take your dog with you. There are many dogs in my town, and most owners wish there was a dog park. The town just doesn't seem to want to do anything for us or our dogs.

Very interesting. The City I live in has 20,000 people, but within 2 miles and another 5 miles we have 2 dog parks. In the development (60) I live in almost every has 1 or 2 dogs. We are very dog friendly, including free doggie bags and a a place to put it. There must be about 5 or more throughout.

Surprisingly New York City is the ultimate dog friendly town. We score a perfect 12. there is always something going on for dogs and there are definitly more dogs then kids per household as well many many dog parks to choose from. Also there are so many doggy daycares and vets that makes it affordable to everyone. I always tell my friends that if i was to be reborn i would come back as an upper east side doggy they are living the dream. whoever said that a dogs should'nt live in city apt has never been to NY, they get more excersize and stimulation then kids i meet.
