Jill Long Beach, WA 12/19/2010 12:54:52 PM We are a small beach community and the dogs love the beach. Most of our hotels and vacation rentals accept dogs and a dog park is on the city agenda for 2011. Our shelter is a 'no kill' and totally supported by the community. The annual Doggie Olympic Games and the Sand Flea Pet Parade bring dog lovers from all over the country to our town.
Diana Commack, NY 12/3/2010 4:35:11 AM In Suffolk County, Long Island we have many dog parks and beaches that are open to dogs. They also have many dog events.
Terry Port Orange, FL 11/23/2010 2:21:48 AM I think our town loves it's dogs as much as it loves it's two legged residents.
ADA FORT WALTON BEACH, FL 11/13/2010 6:32:24 AM I FOUND OUT THAT MY TOWN IS IN THE PROCESS OF BECOME A DOG FRIENDLY TOWN. I WISH WE HAVE A DOG PARK WHERE I DON'T HAVE TO DRIVE MILES AWAY TO PLAY WITH MY DOGS.
Tiffanie Elgin, IL 11/11/2010 5:05:19 PM Well I wish Elgin Illinois was more dog friendly, but I have a HUGE fenced in back yard where Hollie can run around with Brutis
mozart Ballston Spa, NY 10/28/2010 6:21:47 PM My town ranked 12 in score, and this weekend a new county shelter is opening.
Beth St.Joseph, MO 10/21/2010 6:42:44 PM my town is the same way. Only i think 5 hotels will let you bring your dog and has some crazy deposit fee at 2 of them that I know for sure. And restraunts you can't have them at any even if you eat outside.Dogs are such an important part of our lives you would think that more places besides pet stores would allow them.
Elizabeth Nassau, NY 10/20/2010 9:03:34 AM The only places that allow pets is Pet Stories and Tractor supply, I have a Great Dane, I cannot find a restaurant that allows big dogs, let alone Hotels.. has for dog events.. only at our local Pet smart... and the closes dog park is 15 minutes away and you need to be a member… not fair. You don’t need to live in a town to allow your kids to play at a play ground.. I do like the idea that many of the state parks allow dogs, any size.. on leash of course.. was able to take our Dane swimming in the lake.. she loved it..
Karen Punta Gorda, FL 9/19/2010 12:51:02 PM My town has lots of restaurants with outdoor seating and dogs are welcome. Most restaurants have dog water bowls outside and offer dog treats. We have a monthly dog cruise on our harbor. We have several dog competions every year. We even have a monthly Dog Walk Night in our downtown.
paul germantown, WI 9/15/2010 7:43:35 AM SIZE OF TOWN/CITY DETERMINES SCORE ON THIS QUIZ. SMALL TOWN WILL NOT HAVE AS MANY PLACES.
Cari New Hartford, NY 9/11/2010 11:10:12 AM Small dogs are accepted at restaurants with greater ease than large dogs, this seems unfair. My dog is well behaved but a german shephard and not welcomed everywhere
linda manchester, NH 9/9/2010 5:50:19 PM this city is not as dog-friendly as i would like. we need to make changes!
Carly janesville, WI 8/28/2010 9:08:42 AM we live in the country and we have like, no resturants that we can take my dog into! : (
Cincinnati Albany, NY 8/15/2010 1:17:42 PM 1 point :O I live out in the country, so there are like NO hotels or restaurants around here. :P
Maxine Independence, IA 7/30/2010 8:45:10 AM My score was 2 points. Guess we don't have a very "friendly dog town. But then our town only has 6,000 people which may explain my score
