Paula Abdul won’t soon forget this painful step.
The “American Idol” judge and former choreographer for stars like Janet Jackson took a tumble at her Los Angeles home over the weekend after tripping while trying to avoid stepping on her Chihuahua, Tulip.
Abdul broke her nose, but was not hospitalized, according to her representative, David Brokaw. Tulip was unharmed.
“I took a nasty fall ... trying not to hurt my dog,” Abdul told the entertainment news show “Extra.” “I bruised myself on my arm ... my chest, my waist, all the way down to my hip. All from my little chubby Tulip.” Abdul also said she tore cartilage in her nose and fractured her toe.
Brokaw says Abdul will appear on tonight’s live 2-hour “Idol” season finale.
Abdul didn’t get a black eye from the incident and won’t have her nose bandaged during tonight’s broadcast, Brokaw says.
