American Humane’s Dog Photo Contest

Dog lovers can enter the annual dog photo contest for the chance to win $2,000 and an American Humane prize package.

Dog lovers can show off their photography talent during the American Humane Association’s annual Pets & Pals Photo Contest.

The contest, which is open to amateur and professional photographers, runs June 1 through July 31.

Two grand prize winners will each receive $2,000 and a prize package from American Humane. Four category-prize winners each receive $500 and a prize package. Finalists will have their photos featured on American Humane’s website, and all entries will be considered for use in American Humane’s electronic and printed materials.

Contestants may enter photos in the following categories:

  1. “Best Friends”
  2. “Families and Pets”
  3. “Down on the Farm”
  4. “Shelter Life”

“It is so rewarding to see photographs come in from every part of the nation demonstrating the amazing bond between people and animals,” says Marie Belew Wheatley, president and CEO of the American Humane Association. “Every year, we look forward to sharing these wonderful images, which serve as vivid proof of the positive impact that animals can have on people’s lives — a benefit that American Humane has known and promoted for 13 decades.”

Wonderful! People need to see that you don't need to go to a pet store or breeder to get the love of your life. All of our babies are shelter dogs and we never regretted getting any of them. Let the contest begin!
