Bertha Schenevus, NY 8/10/2009 1:42:19 PM Pit bulls aren't really aggressive, they are just thought as such because they are often conditioned to be aggressive for pit fights, and when pit bulls become aggressive for whatever reason, they are harder to control because of their strength. Pit bulls can pull 30 times their body weight!
none sweater, IL 2/16/2008 11:49:49 PM Pit Bulls always get such a bad rap but they're really sweet dogs. It's the owners who destroy them.
Cheryl Conway, MO 2/16/2008 9:18:46 PM This sounds like a wonderful program about the pit bulls. More people need to understand that they can be a family pet, and maybe if they can get them neutered/spayed cheap, it will help.
Karen Standish, ME 2/16/2008 7:43:31 PM A great idea to help! But, All animals should be spayed and neutered.
Katie Suwanee, GA 2/16/2008 1:57:34 PM I don't think that pitt bulls should be run out just because a few of them have a bad rep. Pitt Bulls are not my favorite breed, but they might be some one elses.
Jennifer Madras, OR 2/15/2008 8:19:31 PM very excellant article. My area is spaying pits for free to reduce the number of them.
sandy Cape Coral, FL 2/15/2008 6:43:06 PM Wonderful Idea when we went to the shelters looking for a new dog in FL..they all looked like they were relatives of the pitbull..wide face etc..we finally bought a dog from a breeder.
Kelly Norfolk, VA 2/15/2008 3:16:53 PM As an animal control Officer I feel that any assistance provided to low income families with pets is great. I love Pit bulls! Population control is a goal every state should share.
RUTH HOUSTON, TX 2/15/2008 7:03:49 AM THAT IS A GREAT IDEA. PIT BULLS NEED ALL THE HELP THEY CAN GET.
