I was just wondering if there was a pill for dogs. My boxer just went into heat at 12 months old:/ We have a male boxer, but dont want to breed them until she is much older if at all. He hasn't tried to mount her(separated when alone) but is being driven crazy by the 5+ dogs hanging around our house=/This would be wonderful when this comes out.

I think having a pill they could take once a month to keep them from getting pregnant would be great! I hate having to crate my baby every time she comes in heat. I feel like I am abandoning her.

it is almost two years since the start of testing for dog birth control so what is the status of the product now? Looking for product testers I am volunteering my 7 month old female Mini- Schnauzer.

if this article came out in feb. 2008, has anyone followed up with the research and whether it is available to domestic pets yet?

This would be absoultly great. I am tring to catch a stray/feral cat that has had a litter of kittens (that I have alreay caught). And needless to say she is proving to be be very difficult. If a birth control pill was out there right know I would be giving it to the mother and I would still get the kittens spayed/neuter.

Breeders need a better birth control than
caging.
I have 4 female & 2 male yorkies that are very hard to keep apart when the girls are in heat. I don't want them to have babies every time they go into heat but it has to be somewhat easy to give to 4 oor 2 dogs. Any Male birth control? Pants don 't work-they get them
off...
Is there a shot that they can get when the heat cycle is noticed?
