It's ok, didn't help. My puppy is 3 months old, Rott/Pit mix, she will run all over the yard with the leash, but as soon as I pick it up to lead, she just sits.

I have a 11 month old Akita. He loves to walk, but he always pulls me, but I sometimes have to pull him. It's a 50% 50%. Any advice for my pup and I?

I would love to take my Corgi for long walks eventually but at 11 weeks she has no interest in walking on a leash and simply lies down and stubbornly resists. I have gotten her to move with treats but only a few feet at a time. Am I expecting her to walk on a lead this young? Or is there a trick to it? Any help is appreciated.

I have a full grown Lab, who just pulls and yanks on the lead to the point that I hate to take her out to walk, it's hard for me to walk at all with her. She's strong.

Whats the best way to get her to the point where we can both enjoy a walk instead of me hurting from being pulled for a block or two?

I totally agree that it would be great if all pet owners respected rules. I enjoy walks with my dog and we have to avoid so many mistakes other dogs leave behind so we don't step into them. My dog is always on leash also when we walk, but there are a few who feel they can do as they please, also not cool

Very good information. I will put it to use tomorrow when I take my dog for her walk.
