I've got a German Shepherd/Pembroke Welsh Corgi mix ,a Newfoundland/Lab mix and a Chow/Golden Retriever/Pit mix and they ,along with my four rescued cats, are the loves of my life. All of my dogs had a great chance of being put to sleep because they were going to get big or they were black or they were fear aggressive towards strange people or because of the Chow.Remember!! There is nothing wrong with Pits or Chows or any other powerful breed and big black dogs are fabulous and often lap dogs ( just ask my Newfie/Lab Jack)!!!!
sc ov, AZ 6/9/2009 9:06:15 PM We adopted a puppy from the shelter, at 5mo. she is now like 2 1/2. she is so dear to us, loyal,loveable, sweet,with so much love to give. she is wonderful...we love her so much..she is like one of the kids...

Brooke Saginaw, MI 12/15/2007 1:39:43 PM I think it is great to adopt a puppy from shelters, but I would be very careful when adopting a adult dog because you don't know their personalitys, if their aggressive. I've adopted a puppy from there and he is my best friend!!

It gives them a second chance at life. shelter animals are always thankful for everything you give them. if you give them 100% love,they give you back 200%! Consider a shelter first!!!
