Sue Painesville, OH 1/17/2009 11:57:33 AM My parent's dog is a Westie. That dog will not defecate in their own yard. They have to walk it down the street and then he goes where he always goes. Why is that dog not going in their own yard. It will pee as soon as it gets out the door of the house but not the other. How can they train that dog to defecate in their own yard. It helps when the weather is -6 degrees and it is too cold to walk clear down the street. LOL

Jes Pittsburgh, PA 10/25/2008 3:42:52 PM Good tips! I've got a Beagle Basset hound mix named Tegwin, and let me tell you, they're not easy to potty train! But with hard work from both of us, (and many, many, many, trips outside)we got it done! Good tip about going in the same place too, makes it easier to clean up!
