LP Houston, Texas 1/11/2013 9:30:53 PM The bike tow leash is much better than the walky dog or springer. I have all three.
shelley kitchener, CA 8/5/2010 4:06:40 PM I was wondering what happens when taking your dog for a walk when I am riding my bike what if he sees another dog and wants to go and play
Jennifer Boise, ID 2/23/2009 4:55:35 PM I have a high energy lab mix and found that the safest way to bike with your dog is with a dog bike leash. After researching, I bought a WalkyDog bike leash at http://www.thedogoutdoors.com and love it. They have videos on the site showing how the leash works.
Kaili Seattle, WA 10/15/2007 4:26:30 PM Bycicling is a great way to stay fit with your dog. I do it all the time with my two australian shepherds, it is fun and easy. I reccomend tying the dogs leash to your bike seat. I also reccomend using a harness while biking, my dog sometimes gets scared of going to close to the bike and stops in the middle of running, if she had a collar on she would probably choke herself. My other Aussie tries to get his collar off sometimes and he can't take off his harness. sometimes i let my Aussie pull me on my bike on long leash, i dont do this when on a busy street though. Dogs are perfect for biking, because when they are running fast they don't notice as many distractions. I dont think all those fancy spring loaded bike accesories for dogs are neccesary, all you need is practice, a 4-foot lead, a regular H-harness, and a bike.
