i have a chesapeake/Griffon mix weighing about 106 lbs who is 8 1/2 years. My blind grandson tripped on him and his left hind ligament was torn. We took him to advanced placement vet care in Salt Lake City, Utah. They want $2700-$3700 to repair this. We are senior citizens with health problems on ongoing medical expenses for ourselves. what can I do for my dog. Advanced Vet care offered me "care credit" card. I have to pay it off in 6 months or the interest is 27%. what can we do? I hate putting a wonderful dog down. Mary Jane

My Dalmatian had this surgery for $1000 - yikes, but he is 100% now. His surgery was re-done since the first replacement was too tight. Your dog should weight-bear right after surgery, limping was a bad sign. Limit their activity at first. My dog is now outrunning his spots !!!
