My dog is overweight but I do feel a hard lump on the side of her body. When we went to get her shots we asked and the vet said it was nothing to worry about but I am still worried.

The article was very informative. I have had many dogs with lumps, Iwas not aware that even if a tumor is benign and is not removed it can turn into a malignant tumor over time. I found out the hard way with my 6 year old Australian Shepard. His lump that I chose not to remove at the time started to change about 15 months later. I'm not sure if everyone understands this can happen even after time.
