Wendy Brora, AA 7/4/2010 2:02:03 PM I adopted my 6mth old Lhasa yesterday. He is a smashing little fellow, he has settled amazingly well and seems very laid back, however he has began marking his teratory in the house - which I read is normal separation anxiety behaviour and a normal reaction to change. How do I make him feel better?? I feel terrible as I punished him with a very dominant NO the first time it happened, that wouldnt have helped him.
Rick Springfield, WV 2/6/2010 12:54:35 PM We adopted our Lhasa one year ago this month. We wanted to rescue an older dog because we knew they are passed over for puppie. We are retired and wanted a dog that was already potty trained. Petey, as we named him, is a wonderful little dog. He is around 10-11 years old and very spry. He has a wonderful personality and lives with us with two cats and a Cocker Spaniel (all seniors like us). I would urge anyone to consider adopting this great little breed.
kathy little rock, AR 1/15/2010 6:38:40 PM I have a rescue dog that is a Lhasa mix - he looks just like the dog on the Beneful dry dog food bag and he weighs about 40 pounds. I have to have him groomed every 6 weeks or so. Do lhasas get that big or is he perhaps another breed of dog?
brandi akron, OH 2/4/2009 6:39:59 PM How do you tell the difference between a Lhasa Apso and a Shih tzu?
Ryan Pittsburgh, PA 12/19/2008 9:02:05 AM This is for Janet in Charlotte. Lhasa's don't shed. The hair just keeps growing and you have to get it groomed or do it yourself. The breed is excellent for adults and kids. Mine is about 8 years old now and I have 2 nieces under 4 and she loves them!! Definately think about adopting one!
janet charlotte, NC 11/20/2008 4:31:47 PM so the lhasa apsos shed in the house ...??? would this breed be good for the elderly and children.. are they easy to potty train...
