We bought a Harley with a side car so that we can strap them in and take them with us. They certainly attract a lot of attention

I adopted an 8 pound Maltese in 2002,born in 1995 she was injured she could not bring her tonge inside her month she was going to be put down but I adopted her taught her how to eat and drink. I had her for 7 years when she devloped an abcess onher lower right gum non-life threatening I sued my vet of over ten years for professional negligence. After surgery I took her home she was not responding brought her back into the hospital vet went out on errands she was dead when he returned his dianosis was that Mei Lei died from dehydration. Mei Lei died in 2009 my only one companion in this world. I AM TRULY HEARTBROKEN AND MISS HER LOOKING FOR SENIOR MALTESE FEMALE CAN HAVE SOME ISSUES. I DON'T MIND I AM RETIRED AND 67 YEARS OLD I GET AROUND PRETTY GOOD

Dotty Columbia, SC 7/15/2007 11:17:17 AM A very thoughtfull artical. One should point out that the hard to keep long coat may be keept in a puppy cut. If you have an active lifestyle this may be preferable to both yourself and your Maltese furbaby.
