This is for Marie in Bountiful, Utah. Dogs and cats and people can all get along very well. It is obvious that you hate cats, and cats know that. You will never be able to get the cats and dog to learn to live together with your attitude. I have five cats and three dogs. They all get along. I have a new puppy and I have introduced them slowly and carefully to one another. Two of my cats and my puppy are sitting with me on the bed as I am writing this. No one can ever get a person or animal to work together if you hate any one of them. I hope your husband finds someone else to live with other than you and takes his cats and dog with him. You appear to be a very cold, uncaring, unkind person.

I want to get rid of my husbands cats. They are worthless. They don't do anything but throwup all over inside and outside, leave clumps of hair all over the place inside and they are not friendly except when we are trying to sleep at all hours of the night. When my dog walks by they hiss, he wasn't even looking at them. My dog rocks!

I have 10 dogs and 22 cats. I have never had a problem introducing them. Often the cat will avoid the dog for the first week and eventually not be bothered at all.

I am not a professional trainer, but I do study ALOT about dog training & cats (you noticed I didn't mention "cat training)." This is exactly what I would do. It is VERY important to be consitant AND patient. Remember, the 1st time there is a bad experience you go back to the beginning (in the dogs mind). It is like a child :o) Good Luck! P.S. I have 2 dogs & 5 cats (had 4 dogs, lost 2 to cancer), they eat, sleep & play together.
